Hip Hop Don’t Stop the masterclasses

wow. Every time we have this event we think it can’t get any better but scheeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!! this one was all about freestyling and circles, and what an incredible difference everyone made.  Some of the urban Strides and hip Hop Don’t Stop fam went on some proper deep journeys.  All of the stories were told in the circles, some of which we have on video some of which we will keep in our minds our memories and our hearts. The event was definantely the most soulful and expressive we have had with so many people in the circles and freestyling all around the campus.  I feel so proud to be a part of the family everyone made it such an incredible event.  if you were there and you felt the same hit me up and let me know how it felt, don’t be afraid to say how you really felt cos through our own expression of our personal journey others can gain great strength and knowledge, say what you feel, hit us up with a comment below on your personal thoughts, feelings and vibe of Hip Hop Don’t Stop.

Big luv

Andy x

p.s. steph left this note on the other video thought you should see it.

Alright master Yoda a comment about HHDS and a bit more i shall write….

Well i’d like to start with some negative feedback about my experience but i can’t……….
I had such a blast those three days were like a little piece of heaven the only downside is that once it is over everything else (school, work, Tv etc) just seems so boring …..I still can’t believe how everyone was so up for it all three groups were just giving it 110% everytime. When i walk into the top 9 locking class the first day i couldn’t believe that everyone was freestyling and just doing their thing…..for me it took ages to get to that state of mind and they’ve just dropped it down like that ….that is outrages!!!!

All the instructors were awesome with some i did enjoyed it more than with others but i guess that is just down to personal preference. The inside into freestyling was immensly helpful and if you ever decide to quit the teaching i reckon should write a book. You seem to have this ability to put the dance/music into words that everyone can understand.

The circles were a bit daunting at the begining but it got so much easier once you do it couple of times …….I know I know ….i can hear you saying ” I TOLD YOU SO “. I still feel great and all my friends hate me because i just don’t shut up talking about music and dancing and i tried to tell them to join the movement because this soul train is going at full speed and if you are not onboard you are about to get run over……

And since we were on strike today i thought might as well make the best of it…..so i wen’t jamming to my quiet underpass but little did i know that it is the main walking path to the theme park that just appeared across the road. And my outdoor studio suddenly was turn into a dual carriage way so i was faced with 2 options to pack my stuff and leg it or to play the stereo so loud that i wouldn’t even take notice who is around……

To 45 the volume goes and at 45 it stayed for 2.5hrs untill the batteries couldn’t take it anymore
I’ve plugged in my ipod and dance to whatever came on ….Loved my attempt at house and the people stoping behind me not knowing what hit them…by the way i think i’ll get that right arm amputated it seriously winds me up.

and of course my locking (since i am such a funky junkie)

P.S. The base was too strong and knocked down my camera a bit, so it is a headless freestyle well it least you don’t see me pulling out stupid faces :)

    Have fun
and Thanks to you and Alison and all the other people that were at HHDS for an amazing week.

hip hop don’t stop surprised me yet again! It was so nice, having the confidence to just jam and freestyle whenever and wherever. before hip hop don’t stop i had a bit of a fear of circles, but now i know what there really about, i cant get enough of watching other people do there thing and doing mine. The teachers were all amazing as usual and each brought something different to lessons, so thanks for making the event what it was!!!!!!! :) if anyones thinking of coming to hip hop don’t stop, JUST DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its amazing seriously

love to alll in the urban strides family!
