Wow! The past two days have been amazing! The Urban Strides Dance Crew killed it with their performance and the whole Young Voices show has been awesome!! The kids of the Young Voices Choir have sung their hearts out and we are all really looking forward to the last night tonight and then to performing at the O2 Arena next week!!!!

wow. Every time we have this event we think it can’t get any better but scheeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!! this one was all about freestyling and circles, and what an incredible difference everyone made. Some of the urban Strides and hip Hop Don’t Stop fam went on some proper deep journeys. All of the stories were told in the circles, some of which we have on video some of which we will keep in our minds our memories and our hearts. The event was definantely the most soulful and expressive we have had with so many people in the circles and freestyling all around the campus. I feel so proud to be a part of the family everyone made it such an incredible event. if you were there and you felt the same hit me up and let me know how it felt, don’t be afraid to say how you really felt cos through our own expression of our personal journey others can gain great strength and knowledge, say what you feel, hit us up with a comment below on your personal thoughts, feelings and vibe of Hip Hop Don’t Stop.

I thought this would make you smile, a little excerpt from Hip Hop Don’t Stop during the summer. The Style Elements crew were rocking it out! This is what Hip Hop Don’t Stop is all about, having a laugh and learning some sick moves! we also like to do things differently, locking on chairs? why not! I have had a great week at classes this week the energy has been through the roof I can’t wait to rock it out with you at Hip Hop Don’t Stop and take everything to the next level, if you have never been before this is a small example of how much fun it will be. check the vid!
I had a chat with Urban Strides fam during the week who are going to book I just wanted to remind you the dedline for your family discount ends at midnight this Sunday the 18th October, So you need to get your skates on! We were at 84% capacity on Monday so time is of the essence!
Today the offical Urban Strides Dance crew and myself taught Richard Branson how to do the running man with beatbox legend Beardyman! It was hilarious and incredibly sureal, I had to take the mik out of him for being late! It doesnt matter who you are, if you’re late for class we will bust you even if you are one of the richest men on the face of the earth! It was comedy gold, we had a wicked laugh and the whole day was awesome. Just another rung on the ladder of randomness for Urban Strides it goes hand in hand with my monnwalk in a guerilla suit at Glastonbury on headline sunday! Check the video and drop us a comment!
I was at My Aylesbury High class on Wednesday (A-town massive! woop woop!) trying to explain why Hip Hop Don’t Stop is so sick. I couldn’t do it because what makes it so special is how it makes you feel, I don’t mean that in a hippy “lets sit round a campfire and sing kumby-ya” way! I mean unless you have experienced the positivity and energy at the event then you simply won’t get it, it’s like trying to describe to someone how you feel when you jump out of a plane. You can describe it but other people who haven’t experienced it won’t get it until they jump out of the plane too. You know at Hip Hop Don’t Stop you will:

Make new friends and laugh a lot!

BUT! What I can’t put down in words is just how good it will make you feel, the passion, the fun the energy the moments when you laugh so much you think a bit of wee is gonna come out!! All of these things I can tell you but you have to be their to feel it for yourself. It’s like that old saying you have to see it to believe it. So I thought you should have a look about how other people feel about Hip Hop Don’t Stop, check the vid: our instructors Mekanikool ( UK Champion 06,07) Dickson ( UK champion07,08,09) and Marcus ( From U.S.A – Renee Harris Pure Movement) are quite adament that there is nothing like this in London or the rest of the UK and they should know they teach all over the world from Singapore, to Denmark!

This is what this event is all about! This is Segun’s 2nd year of Hip Hop Don’t Stop and he took full advantage of the week, he was always in the circle and he improved rapidly, we can’t wait to see how much he has come on for the Autumn week. You really do get out what you put in, so challenge yourself and take a positive step, be commited to fullfilling your potential because when you can freestyle with total confidence there is no better feeling. You only have 2 weeks to confirm your place at HIp Hop Don’t Stop and the places are filling up quick you will get so much out of it I am telling you about it because it has the potential to dramatically transform the way you dance for the better, just look at Segun.

Ha ha, this cracked me up, we were just chillin in the canteen at Hip Hop Don’t Stop hanging with the family when we come across Marcus (epic flave) from Philladelphia just rocking out a sick bboy freestyle. Marcus is one of our awesome teachers who got a great reception and is coming back in October to teach some bboying and new jack swing, (If you don’t know about new jack swing, all will be revealed at the event!) I love these moments from Hip Hop Don’t Stop, there were so many improtu moments that happen at Hip Hop Don’t Stop that make it such an exciting place to be. It always puts a smile on my face knowing that while your chomping on a sandwich you can watch world class BBoys throwing down! ahhhaaa the magic of Hip Hip Don’t Stop! I am so excited about this. For the last five years at Hip Hop Don’t Stop the energy and vibe has been off the hook! The only problem has been the wait for the next year. We received so many evaluation forms where you had said “we want more”, or “we can’t wait!” Well you don’t have to any more! We are doing a 3 day event during the october half term 27th-29th October with your favourite teachers form the summer. Plus we have a brand new teacher called Kymberlee Jay who has danced with Madonna and is sponsored by Nike she is a krump expert and will bring the rawness!

U.S. fam it is so good to be back at classes I didn’t realise how much I had missed them! This week has been dope. The energy has been wicked and the improvement from those of you who came to Hip Hop don’t Stop was nasty, a real huge improvement, nice one. Those of you who are unaware and missed summer Hip Hop don’t Stop we are doing the “masterclass sessions” in October on the 27th, 28th and 29th (half term) Put them in your diary now!
