Yo peeps we represented tonight at a local thatre in MK where several schools in the area were competing, if you were there hit us up and lets us know what you thought of the night. I was judging the event and it was great to see so many young people having fun dancing, full respect to all the dance crews that were performing, keep doing your thing.

We performed tonight (6.4.08) to a fierce home crowd.  Full respect to all the dance crews that performed at the Aylesbury civic at Activate.  I know the Urban strides dancers really enjoyed their performance, and the reaction was great.  Thank you to everyone who took the time to come and represent.  If you were there hit us up with a comment, any feedback is greatly appreciated good or bad, let us know what you thought!

I went up to my second home (LIPA!) on Saturday for a weekend of hip hop luv. Teaching the authentic nature of hip hop dance styles with Jonzi D-Breakin Convention, Ivan-Birdgang, Mouse-2006 world BBoy champion and Bagzi-House master.  Presented by Xena productions we all taught our styles to a wicked hip hop community, I had a great weekend and met some serious funk heads, a great weekend of sharing knowledge and cyphers.  Thanks for all who attended and Christina for putting on a sick event. If you were there let us know what you thought.

Swan Slam

Tuesday 17th June 

The Wycombe Swan are staging a night of celebration of hip hop dance and the Crew have a 20 minute slot in which to showcase their talents. Tickets are available on line at www.wycombeswan.co.uk £7-£17 each.

Breakin’ Convention

Saturday 3rd May

We are very proud to be taking part in Breakin Convention, the internationally acclaimed hip hop dancetheatre festival held at Saddlers Wells in London. We are performing on the main stage alongside some of the best hip hop acts in the UK and abroad. Tickets are available from www.breakinconvention.com/08 £20 for a one day pass.

Activate

Sunday 6th April

The Crew will be performing alongside other local acts from accross the region in a showcase of youth dance in Activate at the Aylesbury Civic Centre. Tickets are available on line at www.aylesburycivic.org £6 adult, £3.50 Junior/Senior, £15 family ticket.

Shake The Room

Saturday 29th March

As part of the Moves Afoot Festival, Urban Strides will join other crews from the South East in Shake The Room at The Haymarket Theatre in Basingtoke.

Move It!  

7th, 8th, 9th March 

This is the biggest dance exhibition in the country and will see the Crew performing on the Main stage at Olympia in London on all three days!
